Story

I designed this webcam cover as a mechanical iris, inspired by camera aperture systems.

Using parametric CAD in Fusion 360, I iterated blade geometry, guide paths, and clearances through multiple 3D-printed test builds.

The final mechanism opens and closes smoothly, giving a reliable physical privacy cover with a distinctive visual effect.
