HDR Booster for macOS

Free Download

I built HDR Booster to solve a practical brightness limit on macOS. It includes a clean control panel and a real HDR test workflow.

What's Included

  • Free .dmg download for direct install
  • Currently tested on MacBook Pro M2 Pro
  • Built with SwiftUI, AppKit, AVFoundation HDR, and EDR overlay tooling

Project Story

I built HDR Booster because standard desktop brightness on macOS did not match what my display could do in HDR-capable paths.

The app combines a SwiftUI panel, AppKit display checks, a real HDR video pipeline, an HDR test pattern window, and an optional desktop overlay.

This release is free to download and share. It is currently tested on a MacBook Pro M2 Pro while compatibility expands.
